Just Black Productions began as a dream. I spent countless summers watching my Grandfather at the race track, live as history by being the Crew Chief of the first African American racing team for the U.S and how much it embodied the beauty of being "Just Black". I was in my 3rd attempt at a Bachelors degree, with my two best friends in an apartment in Paterson, NJ, with a paper, pencil, and untampered creativity. With inspiration from my major in Africana World Studies, I created Just Black Productions in August 2021. I started off with a heat press and the thriving and harmonious Black culture at William Paterson University. With my first event being "Welcome Black", I printed t-shirts for all my peers to wear. From there, my dream took off. I began printing shirts for multiple events on campus and working with photographers and videographers to capture the unforgettable moments of my college career. In Summer 2023, not only did I graduate college but I graduated to better connections, opportunities, equipment, and success. I am the proud owner of an automatic heat press, a screen press and embroidery machine. Just Black Productions has successfully issued a 3 month social media management project with a local non-profit, documented over 100 community events for the Trenton Community Street Team, and supplied custom apparel for Black businesses centered around community, art, and education. With our services, Just Black will continue to empower communities to stand out and "Add more pepper to the salt".
